we're tiefschnarch.

a comix fishaction duo composed by musicians : a bassist & a multielectroinstrumentist. both are based in rennes (f).

the project was born 2015; the street theater compagny from leipzig (d), metallkombo, needed some music for its performances with "der fisch": an impressive & big metalic angler fish structure on wheels. we then started to think about a ten minute long music piece, that would be played live during the metallkombo shows and support the story.

now, tiefschnarch can also be a real band, playing other aquatic songs in different moods & styles.

here's how we describe our sound:

"with the fish-crew, we played in various aqua-cultural manifestations. our infraquatic music stays deep & snoring like in the abysses. that's where we got our name: "tiefschnarch" ("deep snore"). it is the fruit of the meeting of an almost fossil fish, wagging with a punk, massive, fluid and infinitely deep energy, and the noisy & filthy waves and that we get from what we could name "hydroscillator system"... "
